Job Summary
Early Emotions is dedicated to supporting the emotional and developmental needs of young children through play therapy, attachment-based therapy, and parent support. We believe that meeting children where they are—in their homes, schools, and daycare settings—creates the most meaningful therapeutic outcomes. Our approach is child-centered, relationship-based, and family focused.

You choose your own hours and create your own schedule, including the areas you serve and amount of clients you see. Preference for providers who are willing to see a minimum of 10 clients a week.

Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Mobile Play Therapist to provide in-home and community-based play therapy services for children ages birth through 7-years-old. This role is ideal for a clinician who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about early childhood mental health. You will work closely with families, caregivers, and educators to support children’s emotional regulation, social skills, and overall well-being through play therapy services.

Duties

• Provide individualized play therapy sessions in clients’ homes, daycare centers, and schools.
• Provide group therapy sessions in daycare and school settings.
• Lead classroom social/emotional groups in daycare and school settings.
• Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and maintain progress documentation.
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals to support the child’s development.
• Utilize child-centered, directive, and trauma-informed play therapy techniques based on the child and family's needs.
• Educate families on therapeutic strategies to reinforce progress outside of sessions.
• Maintain timely documentation and comply with all ethical and legal guidelines.

Requirements

• A passion for working with young children and their families.
• Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Licensure (or license-eligible) as an LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent.
• Registered Play Therapist (RPT) credential or actively pursuing RPT certification preferred.
• Experience working with young children in a clinical or educational setting.
• Strong understanding of child development, attachment, and trauma-informed care.
• Ability to work independently, manage a flexible schedule, and travel to various locations.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
