About the Role

Are you passionate about product security and looking to make a significant impact? Honeywells Building Automation business (BA) is seeking a Product Security Leader (PSL) for their Security and Access Solutions (SAS) unit. This senior technical role involves shaping cybersecurity and privacy strategies for our products. You will report to the BA Cybersecurity Chief, with matrix reporting to the SAS Vice President and CTO.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on product security and privacy strategies, managing cyber risks across products.
• Influence product development to ensure security by design and default.
• Build relationships with Engineering, Legal, and Marketing to promote secure practices.
• Coach security teams and developers to enhance security skills.
• Monitor and improve product security metrics throughout development.
• Manage product security risk and ensure compliance with policies.
• Promote the adoption of security requirements and standard components.
• Improve security processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Participate in the BA Software Security Group to foster a security-focused culture.
• Lead incident response activities.
• Address customer cybersecurity issues and external certifications.
• Build and mentor a high-performing product security team.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years in securing Cloud, Mobile, and on-premises software, including embedded Linux and RTOS.
• Understanding of DevSecOps.
• 2+ years in software development leadership.
• 10+ years in cybersecurity and technology.
• Knowledge of secure SDLC, threat modeling, security reviews, penetration testing, and incident response.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks like NIST and ISA/IEC standards.
• Experience with secure product reviews, automated and manual testing.
• Understanding of 'security by design' principles and architecture security.
• Up-to-date on security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Bachelors in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration and negotiation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Agile, SAFe, SCRUM methodologies.
• Security and privacy certifications like CSSLP are preferred.
